Event Notification Service (ENS) Now Available on Health Gorilla through Patient360

Health Gorilla is committed to constant innovation and improvement of our products and services. Today we are excited to share that we have launched Event Notification Service for Patient360, our clinical data platform. This new product allows organizations nationwide to subscribe to live updates which will notify them if their patients undergo an Admission, Discharge, or Transfer (ADT) event.

Patient360 can now notify any subscribed healthcare organization through an ENS API when their patients interact with a participating care provider, using push notification directly into their EMR system. As a leader in healthcare data interoperability, Health Gorilla has consistently provided its customers with access to a vast network of patient data used to make critical medical decisions. The ability to now receive ADT Notifications for existing patients within the CommonWell network makes the process of compiling vital patient records more seamless for all parties involved.

As CommonWell noted about the new service, “this can have a significant impact on communication among an individuals’ care team, as providers will be able to query the CommonWell network to learn more about the recent care event and determine what next steps may be needed.”

When a patient’s primary care organization, health insurance plan, or other wellness organization (i.e. a digital health app approved by the patient) subscribes to Patient360 ENS, they will be notified in real-time when their patient is seen at another care site, such as going to an out-of-network Emergency Department. Depending on the circumstances of the encounter, the subscribing organization can then establish care coordination for the patient during the health event, facilitate an encounter with the patient, or trigger a data retrieval for any new clinical documentation through Patient360.

The Health Gorilla team is excited about this huge step forward in proactive patient data notifications. It allows us to provide a higher level of support to our partners across the nation utilizing Patient360 and helps them provide better care and value to their patients.
