Health Gorilla and Grupo Ángeles Team up to Aggregate Patient Health Data Across Mexico
New interoperability initiative enables patients and providers to review, store, and share health data across 24 hospitals

SUNNYVALE, CA, JANUARY 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ – Health Gorilla, a leader in clinical interoperability solutions, and Grupo Ángeles Servicios de Salud, a 24-hospital system in Mexico, today announced a strategic collaboration to enable clinical interoperability across its network of hospitals and clinics.

As part of this initiative, Grupo Angeles Servicios de Salud will bring together data from multiple disparate IT systems across the organization, including electronic medical record systems, labs, imaging systems, and pharmacies. Providers can view aggregated data at the point of care, while seamlessly and securely sharing medical data with other providers involved in the patient’s care plan. In addition, patients will have access to a mobile app that provides full access to their medical information from anywhere they received care in the Grupo Angeles system.

"Clinical networks like this offer a competitive advantage to health systems by empowering patients and providers with the full scope of medical information, reducing gaps in care and improving patient engagement," says Steve Yaskin, co-founder and CEO of Health Gorilla. "We are excited to bring Health Gorilla’s platform and point-of-care technology to Grupo Angeles to improve outcomes for millions of patients across Mexico."

Puerto Rico Primary Care Association Network Selects Health Gorilla Clinical Network as Their Data Exchange Platform

SUNNYVALE, CA (PRWEB) APRIL 16, 2018 – Health Gorilla (, provider of a nationwide clinical network that solves healthcare interoperability issues and drives better consumer health, announced recently that the Puerto Rico Primary Care Association Network (PRPCAN) has selected the company’s secure Clinical Network as their data exchange platform.

"The Puerto Rico Primary Care Association Network (PRPCAN) is the name chosen for the HRSA-funded Health Centered Controlled Network (HCCN). As part of our goals and deliverables, the PRPCAN must improve Meaningful Use, clinical quality metrics, health outcomes, and Health Information Exchange (HIE), among other objectives. In Puerto Rico, resources, both technical and financial, are limited. Over fifty percent of the providers do not have an EHR. There is no state HIE and there are two other networks that do not comply with the HHS and ONC requirements of an HIE,” explained Javier Jiménez, Director of the Puerto Rico Primary Care Association Network.
