Health Gorilla Heads to HIMSS23 to Introduce Individual Access Services, Additional Data Types, and New Security Initiatives

Health Gorilla is proud to be participating once again in the can’t-miss health information and technology event of the year – HIMSS 2023 Global Conference – as an exhibitor, a participant in the Interoperability Showcase, and panelists or presenters for many key educational sessions.

Chicago's McCormick Place, the largest convention center in North America, will house the April 17-21 event, which is expected to attract over 40,000 attendees.

Health Gorilla will be in the North Hall at booth 7909, where we’ll be talking about our solutions to access complete patient information – including data from EHRs, labs, and pharmacies, in addition to social determinants of health (SDOH) risk scores and launch of Individual Access Services (IAS) through a partnership with CLEAR.

We’ll have in-booth presentations on these topics and also about our approval for onboarding as a Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN) and how the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) will impact you.

You can also find us at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase™ in Booth 7946-72 and 7946-73 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with demos beginning at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

Health Gorilla will be participating in two use case paths. 360X follows an 18-year-old new mother with postpartum depression and the CommonWell Health Alliance demonstration follows a woman who experiences an acute asthma attack 70 miles from her home.

In the 360X session, we will demonstrate our solutions for Individual Access Services, demonstrating how a patient could retrieve their own medical records from health information exchanges as a final step in a complex care journey. Health Gorilla, along with MEDITECH, Epic, eClinicalWorks, and several other vendors, will showcase how data exchange enables a seamless experience across the spectrum of care including acute, ambulatory and LTPAC care environments. The transitions are optimized by the support of multi-modality protocols, technology and standards.

CommonWell’s demonstration will focus on the power of our Record Locator Service (RLS), and its ability to search for and find a comprehensive view of a patient’s medical history from all connected care providers, regardless of where their past care has occurred. It will showcase the ability to place a single query from a provider, searching the entire network for comprehensive patient data.
