2021 was an exciting and growth-oriented year for our team at Health Gorilla. We brought on a variety of new digital health clients, solidified our first innovation partner, continued to expand our reach with the Puerto Rico Health Information Exchange (HIE), and were just recently featured in CB Insights third annual Digital Health 150 list, which was unveiled live during CB Insights' annual Future of Health event.
Through an evidence-based approach, the CB Insights research team selected the Digital Health 150 from a pool of over 11,000 companies, including applicants and nominees. Companies were chosen based on several factors, including data they submitted, company business models and momentum in the market, and Mosaic scores, CB Insights' proprietary algorithm that measures private companies' overall health and growth potential.
Health Gorilla was one of only nine digital integration and analytics companies featured in CB Insights' annual list.
"We are excited to be featured in CB Insights' annual Digital Health 150 list," said Steve Yaskin, CEO and Co-founder of Health Gorilla. "With the industry shifting towards value-based care, telehealth, and remote patient monitoring, it's more important than ever that patients and providers have access to aggregated clinical records. Our APIs and Health Information Network were developed to support these needs and allow the entire healthcare industry to share clinical data and aggregate each patient's full medical history in one place. We look forward to continuing to develop our innovative solutions and are excited to expand our capabilities as a designated qualified health information network."
We were also happy to see that a variety of our clients and partners were featured on the list. We know that it will take strong partnerships between innovative companies to create a true interoperable healthcare system and are proud to be featured alongside such cutting-edge organizations. Our clients and partners highlighted in the list include:

What's Next for Health Gorilla?
Health Gorilla will be applying to become one of the first designated Qualified Health Information Networks (QHINs) under TEFCA once the final Trusted Exchange Framework is released.
We have been working under the known regulations set forth by TEFCA, are committed to the legal, functional, and technical requirements, and have positioned ourselves to satisfy all six exchange purposes.
The designation will increase our ability to facilitate access to health data across the country and allow us to deliver additional efficiencies and value to our Participants, Subparticipants, and digital health clients. By ensuring interoperability between the networks we represent and minimizing one-off connections, we will be able to simplify data exchanges for our network.
